The Luxembourg race actually takes place in Germany between Bonn and Dusseldorf, at the Nürburgring. It's an interesting circuit laid out on quite hilly terrain, with varied straights and bends, and an emphasis on driver safety which was lacking in the infamous 14-mile circuit of the same name. Unfortunately it offers few possibilities for overtaking. Concerning setup, this circuit with its frequent bends requires a lot of downforce. Most of the bends are fast ones and are taken in 3rd or even 4th gear. As on all circuits where overtaking is difficult, if not impossible, a place at the front of the starting grid together with a good race strategy are indispensable. The weather here is unpredictable, the circuit situated in a region that gets plenty of rain.
